Tim Pettitt
Tim is the Director of FISA and oversees all of its operations. He began his career in a family owned seafood business and subsequently worked for Instant Foods of California, McCormick Spice Company, Nabisco Foods and Kraft Foods. His experience includes laboratory wet chemistry; quality, sanitation and food safety program development; ingredient, packaging, manufacturing and distribution auditing; sanitation efficiency; capital planning and sanitary design. Tim was the corporate Senior Manager of Sanitation and Audits for Nabisco and a corporate Program Manager of Product Protection and Hygienic Design for Kraft. He has served as a member of: the Board of Directors for BISSC, ANSI Conference for Food Protection Food Equipment Certification Committee and the IAOM Food Protection Committee. He is a published author. His certifications include ASQ-CQA-HACCP and ASQ-CQA and he holds a B.S. degree in Zoology from Brigham Young University.

Dan Adams
Dan has 35 years of experience serving as Director of Quality Assurance with Imperial Foods; Director of Quality Control, Dairy Products Division, Land of Lakes; Independent Consultant to numerous Fortune 100 food companies; Vice President Product Development, Quality Assurance, Consumer and Regulatory Affairs and Chief Technical Officer, American Home Foods; Vice President Food Science and Technology Director of Microbiology, Campbell Soup Company. His experience includes microbiology, aseptic processing, ready-to-eat meat, FDA and USDA compliance, GMP and food safety auditing, dairy, poultry salughter and processing, spray drying, dry blending, infusion, pasta, paper and plastic manufacturing, SPC, weight control, policy and SOP development and microbiology research. Dan has been involved in a number of food industry associations and key committees including, IFT, GMA and NFPA. He holds a B.A. in Biology/Chemistry from Albion College; an M.S. in Microbiology/Biochemistry from the University of Michigan; and a Ph.D. in Food Science/Biochemistry from the University of Minnesota.

Gilda Gutierrez
Gilda has 24 years of experience in food manufacturing, quality assurance, consulting and technical translation serving with BASF Mexicana, Pepsico de Mexico, Dart de Mexico and other internationally recognized food companies. Her expertise includes teaching Chemistry at the Tecnologico de Monterrey University in Toluca Mexico, Business English in the Mexico State Autonomous University del Estado de Mexico and Training Skills by Dale Carnegie and other recognized institutions. Her certifications include HACCP, ISO 9000, GMA-SAFE, Sensory Evaluation, Packaging (Pepsi), Sugar (Pepsi), and Hazardous Materials. She has worked as a Global Auditor and a Supplier Quality Assurance Auditor for international food companies in Latin America. She consults in the areas of food safety, HACCP, SPC, Hazmat, packaging, sensory, GMP, and other food safety prerequisites. She conducts food safety audits and consults throughout Mexico, Central and South America. She has a degree in Biochemical Engineering from the Instituto Politecnico Nacional in Mexico City, Mexico and a degree in Translation from Berlitz Mexico. She speaks English and Spanish fluently.

Kenneth Hunter
Ken has worked for 23 years with Riceland Foods, retiring in 2001 as Corporate Manager of Product Compliance. Prior to Riceland Foods, Ken worked for several years as a plant sanitarian with Quaker Oats, as a consultant with the National Sanitation Institute, and as an inspector with the U.S. Food & Drug Administration. Ken has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and is a Registered Sanitarian.

Paul Lyman
Paul has prior experience as the Director of Food Safety and Sanitation Services for Sara Lee Bakery Group, and prior to that as Regional and Corporate Senior Manager of Sanitation Service for The Earthgrains Company. He was also a Sanitation Service Manager for Campbell Taggart, Inc. Paul has an MS Degree from the University of Texas, School of Public Health and is a registered sanitarian, is a certified pesticide applicator in six states and is HACCP certified.

Dean Mathewson
Dean's career spans more than 25 years of progressive management experience in food related manufacturing environments. His experience includes 13 years at ADM Arkady, where he served as Health, Safety and Environmental compliance Manager. Dean has also held management roles in safety program training, development and implementation, compliance management, production management, production planning and inventory management for Continental Baking Company and Rich's Food Products. Dean's education includes food sanitation certificates from the American Institute of Baking, and bachelor's degree studies in Milling Science at Kansas State University and English at Salem State University.
